INSTRUCTIONS

MAXeSites consist of over 25 on-page SEO factors to rank higher than a website for local target keywords in SERPs. Follow the guidelines below.

STEP 1: SEO Tags

In the Settings tab, complete the following:

TIP: For local businesses, add your city in the title tag

In the SEO Tags section, complete the following:

TIP: For local businesses, add streets, intersections, zip codes, and city in the keywords and description tags

TIP: Google puts more weight on keywords found in the beginning of your title tag

TIP: Use Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) keywords that are commonly found alongside your target keyword searches

STEP 2: MAXeSite™ Fields

Add the following fields to your content, personalized employee marketing and customer service-marketing MAXeSites:

1A. Add Text (publicly visible)

This text content is visibly displayed within your MAXeSite™ for public view.

TIP: Create at least one target keyword anchor text in each paragraph

TIP: Add your prominent target keyword(s) within the first 100 words of your content

TIP: Add links to your target keywords directing to both external site(s) and to your website inner page(s)

1B. Add Text (NOT publicly visible, and OPTIONAL)

This text content is NOT visibly displayed within your MAXeSite™ for public view, but can be toggled on and therefore is still indexed by search engines to improve SEO. This white hat method provides search engine bots with rich content without deceptive "hidden" methods of obscuring content (e.g. similar text and background colours), which will lower rankings or penalize your website.

Add unique text and aim for at least 750 words in content MAXeSites

TIP: Create at least one target keyword anchor text in each paragraph

TIP: Add your prominent target keyword(s) within the first 100 words of your content

TIP: Add text and set field visibility to Admin Only (not publicly visible)

2. Image

TIP: Adding your target keywords in the "alt tag" can improve search engine rankings

DEFINITION: An alt tag, also known as "alt attribute" and "alt description," is an HTML attribute applied to image tags to provide a text alternative for search engines. The alt attribute provides alternative information for an image if a user for some reason cannot view it (if the user uses a screen reader, or because of slow connection, or an error in the src attribute)

3A. Image Gallery

TIP:Use keywords provided in Google Images search within each image description

TIP:Adding popular keywords to each image description can drive more traffic from Google Images search

3B. Image Gallery(Local Advertisers)

TIP: Offer 3 PLATINUM sponsor ads (top of MAXeSite) and 6-9 GOLD sponsor ads (mid-page), for $12-144/month per ad.

4. YouTube

TIP: Add YouTube videos and set field visibility to Admin Only, similar to (1B. Add Text) above
